Choral Programmes (Intern)

The VOS Intern can expect to progress from intern to contract positions, with a chance for permanent hire depending on performance.

Choral Programmes Intern

Interns will gain insights into the dynamic arts industry with one of the fastest-growing arts organisations in Singapore, and get hands-on experience on a variety of national-level projects. The Choral Programmes Intern will play a critical role in the running of our nearly 500 strong Children’s Choir.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate weekly rehearsals, venue scheduling, and score procurement for the Children’s Choir.

  • Manage membership records and address administrative matters to ensure smooth ensemble operation.

  • Respond to client and membership inquiries promptly via various communication channels.

  • Resolve membership concerns and assist with invoice processing to ensure member satisfaction.

  • Prepare and send rehearsal reminders and event communications to parents and singers.

  • Maintain accurate records of choir members, attendance, and music library inventory.

  • Assist in planning, administration, and execution of events and concerts for the Children’s Choir.

  • Manage registration, ticketing, and communication for internal and external performances.

  • Collaborate on conceptualising new projects and programmes to enhance the choir's offerings.

  • Handle additional operational tasks as required to support the Children's Choir programme.

 

Requirements:

Able to commit to a minimum 3-month full-time internship and are able to work Saturdays. Candidates who can commit up to 5 or 6 months are preferred.

  • Punctual and reliable, good attitude, flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and tasks as this is a growing company.

  • A strong communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills is essential for efficiently managing tasks, engaging with stakeholders, and maintaining meticulous records.

  • Enjoys working in a small team, independently and collaboratively.

  • Interest in music and helping to inspire a singing Singapore.

  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite.
