Happy April Fool's Day!

The pet choir is not real, but our community impact singing programmes are! While the Voices of Singapore Pet Choir was a fun project for April Fool's Day, we do have singing programmes that cater to often overlooked groups in our society.

Starlight Programmes

FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

There are two programmes under our Starlight Programmes. Starlight Voices is a choir comprising talents with special needs, while the Starlight Music-Making Programme is an inclusive music exploration class curated for children with special needs.

Both programmes are helmed by Ms Tham Pei Wen, who has a Master of Arts degree in Kodály Music Pedagogy, specialising in the adaptation of the Kodály approach for children with special needs.

Let's Sing! Programme

FOR THE VULNERABLE, AT-RISK & UNDERPRIVILEGED

Let's Sing! is a weekly choral and music programme for beneficiaries from organisations like the Children's Society who are vulnerable, at-risk or from underprivileged backgrounds.

The programme aims to help build up the confidence of the participants, allowing them to feel a sense of belonging and community through shared music making.

Silver Voices Programme

FOR SENIORS LIVING WITH & WITHOUT DEMENTIA

Silver Voices is an inclusive singing programme for seniors over 50. Extended to seniors living with or without dementia, the programme aims to improve cognitive functions and emotional and mental health through music. It also provides a safe social space for seniors to interact.

There are both English and Mandarin sessions available.
