Little Singers and Starlight MMP (Online)

Dr. Nicholas Tham (b. 1982) is a Singapore-based choral conductor, music educator and vocologist. He holds a DMA in Choral Music from the University of Southern California, where his primary academic focus was music teaching and learning, with additional concentrations in vocology and composition. He also holds a Master’s degree in Kodály Music Pedagogy with a specialisation in vocal pedagogy and choral conducting from the Kodály Institute.

At Voices of Singapore, Dr. Tham is the instructor for Little Singers, an early childhood music-making program that employs a Kodály-inspired approach to help children aged 3 to 6 explore and develop musical perception through play and creative engagement. He also teaches in the Music Making Programme Online, an inclusive singing program for participants with autism.

Beyond VOS, Dr. Tham guest lectures on vocology at Cornell University, runs a private voice studio, conducts vocal workshops across Singapore and leads You Sparkle, a community choir for children at risk, providing a safe and empowering space for self-expression through music. He also serves as an adjunct lecturer at the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC), training both preservice and in-service teachers in music education.

Passionate about nurturing future musicians and educators, Dr. Tham continues to inspire through his commitment to music education and choral artistry.
