When COTP Inspire first gathered in mid-2025, it was a female chorus on its way to finding its voice, building a space for growth and exploration that culminated in the debut recital titled Prelude. Six months on, the debut recital gifted this ensemble something more enduring than applause – it gave the choir momentum.
Collectively, the sound of COTP Inspire has grown in breadth and confidence, embracing the intricate weave of complex choral works one moment, and grounding itself in the warmth of Asian folk melodies the next. The journey has even wandered into the vibrant, rhythmic world of pop choral. This programme reflects a choir unafraid to explore, and unwilling to be confined to a single style.
The Light We Carry is a snapshot of where COTP Inspire stands today: expanding, experimenting, and deeply rooted in the joy of making music together.
Looking ahead, the hope is simple and firmly held: to keep showing up, to keep raising voices in harmony, and to keep building a space where singing together feels like coming home.

This recital is presented on a donate-as-you-wish basis, with an encouraged minimum donation of $20 per ticket. All donations will support the choir’s year-end concert tour to Prague and Berlin, enabling the Chorus of the People to share Singapore’s choral voice on the international stage.
