Sean Foo

Conductor

Chorus of the People (Unite) and VOS Silver Voices (Pearl)

Sean Foo is a choral conductor from Singapore. He holds an ALCM in Choral Conducting from the London College of Music. Described as “wielding humour well while insisting on improvement”, Sean’s pedagogy and instruction revolves around the core philosophies of relatability, empathy and solidarity.

His greatest joy is founding Voce Vibrante, a choral group that provides a safe space for youths, by youths. Leading as the Artistic Director, Voce Vibrante was one of the finalists for the Tokyo International Choral Festival in 2023.

Believing in continuously evolving as a musician, Sean is in constant conversation with senior conductors, attending masterclasses and workshops frequently. Sean makes it a point to befriend choral conductors during his trips overseas and has been invited to collaborate & observe choirs from Texas, Seattle, Britain, Japan, Italy and France.

Outside of the nine choirs that he conducts, Sean spends his mornings drinking one too many coffees and playing D&D in his free time. Sean also now realises the honour of being able to share his love for choral music to students from ages 9-93.
