Sharon Ham
Collaborative Pianist
VOS City Chorus, VOS Silver Voices (Jade and Pearl) and VOS Children’s Choir (PGA)
Sharon is a Singapore-based collaborative pianist and music educator with a special affection for children’s choirs. Her journey as a musician began at a young age with the piano. While still a student, she played the piano for the school choirs that she sang in, as well as dance schools such as the Singapore Ballet Academy.
Upon graduation from university, Sharon worked as an editor with several publishing firms, producing educational, lifestyle-related and commemorative books. She soon returned to her first love—music. Since then, she has accompanied choirs in numerous Singapore schools and community choirs such as Vocal Associates and the East Coast Choir in festivals and competitions both local and abroad.
Sharon currently accompanies the VOS Children’s Choir, VOS City Chorus, as well as VOS Silver Voices. It brings her much joy to collaborate with choirs of different ages, pushing the boundaries of choral sound. Sharon also works with instrumentalists, particularly violinists and cellists, accompanying them at diploma level exams and recitals.
When not playing the piano, Sharon enjoys making music on her cello with The Orchestra of the Music Makers (OMM) and The Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO), and crafting with yarn and fabric.
