VOS Children’s Choir

Voices of Singapore Children's Choir (VOSCC) was formed in 2019 by acclaimed Singaporean Conductor-Composer Dr. Darius Lim. Today, the 500-strong VOSCC boasts one of the most comprehensive music choral training programmes in Singapore with a structured and progressive system comprising of training and performing choirs across different stages of development. Placement is based on age and vocal development, with singers moving through the levels as they grow in skill and experience. With a strong emphasis on musicianship, ear training, vocal technique and stage performance, the programme nurtures confident, skilled and expressive choristers.

The choir has established a network of collaborations with some of the world's leading children's choirs, providing exclusive opportunities for singers to attend masterclasses, exchanges and performances with renowned professionals from across the globe. The VOSCC made their Carnegie Hall debut in New York in the summer of 2023 and won 2nd place in the Senior Children’s Choir category at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod 2024 in Wales. More recently, they were invited as the Guest Choir at the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival (HKICF) in 2025.

  • The VOS Choral Scholars Programme is an extension of the VOS Children’s Choir Concert Group, created to nurture some of Singapore’s most gifted young singers. In addition to regular rehearsals, these gifted young singers embark on a specialised programme that offers a rigorous and enriching music education across a variety of genres, tailored for aspiring musicians, many of whom are already on paths to professional careers.

Under the tutelage of Artistic Director, Dr. Darius Lim, the Choral Scholars programme focuses on chamber choir work, solo performance and advanced musical interpretation. These sessions explore the deeper philosophy of music-making, including song analysis, global trends and creative approaches to performance.

Scholars also enjoy exclusive opportunities, such as private tours of renowned institutions like the Juilliard School in New York and Berklee NYC. With a focus on artistic growth, excellence and exposure, the programme equips young musicians with the skills and insight to succeed on both national and international stages.

Little Singers by VOSCC

Little Singers is an extension of our regular Children's Choir programme that trains and develops cognitive, musical and kinaesthetic ability in young children aged 3 to 7. This programme does not require an audition and transcends fun in music-making, and develops musical young singers that are sensitive to sound, rhythm and other fundamental musical elements. It also equips them with key foundation skills that will not only aid their singing, but their thought process and creativity.

Split into Parent-Accompanied and Independent Classes, Little Singers is a unique programme that nurtures the young musician and creates unforgettable memories through song.
