National Day Parade
In 2024, 234 singers from Voices of Singapore came together to perform in the Chapter Five segment of the National Day Parade (NDP). Representing all of VOS’ choirs, this ensemble included singers from the youngest children’s choirs to the oldest Silver Voices choirs, as well as members from our State Choirs and community impact programme choirs. Among them were 14 members of our Starlight Voices, a choir from our community impact programmes made up of individuals with special needs.
Chapter Five of NDP 2024 featured a heartfelt repertoire of songs that celebrated diversity, unity, and inclusivity. The choir performed renditions of Fix You and True Colours, leading up to the grand finale—Our Story, an original composition by Voices of Singapore’s Artistic Director, Dr. Darius Lim.
The Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir also took the national stage for SG60, with 30 singers from the Performing and Concert Group performing across the Pre-parade, Parade and featured Acts. Together with over 100 singers from Greendale Secondary School, they presented National Day favourites such as We Are Singapore, The Road Ahead and Home. Highlights included I Will Walk With You and Room At The Table in Act 2, a moving tribute to solidarity and togetherness.
