VOS Children’s Choir at the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival (HKICF) 2025

The Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir toured Hong Kong in June 2025, representing Singapore as the Guest Choir at the prestigious HKICF. Featuring performances at major venues such as Ocean Park and Tsuen Wan Town Hall, as well as exchanges with the Hong Kong Children’s Choir, the tour offered young choristers a rich platform for artistic growth and cultural connection.

In June 2025, the Voices of Singapore Children’s Choir (VOSCC) embarked on a tour to Hong Kong, proudly representing Singapore as the Guest Choir at the prestigious Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival (HKICF).

Throughout the tour, the young choristers engaged in a series of enriching musical and cultural experiences. These included choir exchanges with local primary and secondary schools, joint rehearsals with the internationally acclaimed Hong Kong Children’s Choir and participation in the HKICF Choir Buddy Programme, an initiative that fosters connection and friendship among choristers across borders.

VOSCC also served as the demonstration choir for a conductor’s workshop led by VOS Artistic Director Dr. Darius Lim, titled ‘Building Choral Culture Through the VOS Method’, offering educators and conductors insight into the choir’s pedagogical approach.

Tour highlights included a music video recording at Tung Po, performances at Ocean Park Hong Kong and the iconic Xiqu Centre, as well as two major concerts to close the tour: the HKICF School Choir Advancement Programme Finale at Tsuen Wan Town Hall Auditorium and VOSCC’s own feature concert as the festival’s Guest Choir.

This experience provided our singers with a rare platform for artistic growth, cultural exchange and international collaboration, furthering their development as confident young musicians and ambassadors of Singapore’s vibrant choral scene.
