VSL Double Gold at the 8th Vietnam International Choir Festival
The Voices of Singapore Ladies Choir won two Gold awards and emerged as the Category Winner in the Equal Voices category at the 8th Vietnam International Choir Festival 2025 in Hội An, Vietnam.
In April 2025, the Voices of Singapore Ladies Choir (VSL) represented Singapore at the 8th Vietnam International Choir Festival in Hội An, Vietnam, earning two Gold awards and advancing to the Grand Prize Competition as one of the festival’s top-performing choirs.
VSL competed in two categories—Equal Voices (B2) and Sacred Choral (S)—and emerged as Category Winner in Equal Voices and Second Place in Sacred Choral, receiving Gold diplomas in both.
Under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Darius Lim, the ensemble performed a varied repertoire, including Cantate Domino by Giovanni Croce, Mary’s Anguish by Nicholas Rio, the African-American spiritual Music Down in My Soul, arranged by Moses Hogan and Revelation by Randall Stroope.
The festival featured 29 choirs from countries including South Korea, Poland, Canada, Malaysia, the Philippines and Vietnam and was organised by INTERKULTUR, a leading global choral organiser also known for the World Choir Games.
