VOS Men Double Gold at the Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod (MCE)

The Voices of Singapore Men’s Choir won two Gold awards and emerged as the Category Winner in the Equal Voices - Tenor Bass category at the Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod (MCE) International Choir Festival 2024 in Kuala Lumpur.

In November 2024, VOS Men, the all-male ensemble of Voices of Singapore, made an outstanding international debut at the Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod (MCE) International Choir Festival in Kuala Lumpur. They won Gold awards in the Equal Voices - Tenor Bass (86.33 points) and Vocal Ensemble (84.07 points) categories, emerging as the Category Winner in Equal Voices - Tenor Bass.

Their repertoire included Good Night, Dear Heart by Dan Forrest and Dayung Sampan, a traditional Singaporean folk song arranged by VOS Artistic Director Dr. Darius Lim. As the only all-male choir in the Grand Prix, their performance celebrated Singapore’s cultural heritage on an international stage.

The MCE, organised by the Young Choral Academy, is one of Asia’s leading choral festivals, featuring over 160 choirs and the prestigious Asian Choral Grand Prix.
