COMMUNITY IMPACT PROGRAMMES

Silver Voices

VOS Silver Voices is an inclusive and engaging singing programme for seniors aged 60 and above. Through weekly sessions conducted in either English or Mandarin, the programme aims to support cognitive well-being and foster a vibrant social environment, welcoming participants living with or without dementia. Silver Voices provides a warm and encouraging space for seniors to come together, build friendships and share their love for music.

Community Silver Voices

Building on the success of Silver Voices, our Community Silver Voices (CSV) programme has brought the joy of singing to over 200 seniors in Active Ageing Centres (AACs) across the nation. Led by trained volunteers through a fully subsidised programme endorsed by the Council for Third Age (C3A), the programme provides a welcoming space for seniors to connect through music.

In partnership with St Luke’s ElderCare, Kwong Wai Shiu and more, participants also perform at community events such as Chinese New Year Lohei and Senior Citizen nights. Through music, we continue to enrich the lives of seniors, fostering joy, connection and a sense of purpose.

“I’m very thankful to VOS for this platform, giving the seniors, especially those with dementia, the chance to learn choral music… Singing creates the common language for all of us.”
