The 2020 ABRSM Choral Examinations have been put on hold due to the COVID-19 situation. Updates will be shared when the examinations are able to continue.

Voices of Singapore Festival is pleased to offer ABRSM Choral Examinations to participating choirs of the 2020 Voices of Singapore Festival.

The ABRSM Choral Examinations provides an opportunity for choirs to explore performing a variety of choral music that is certified by professional examiners of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
levels and performance duration
Initial: 20 mins (inclusive of a programme with a minimum of three contrasted items lasting in total between 7 and 10 minutes)

Intermediate: 22 mins (inclusive of a programme with a minimum of three contrasted items lasting in total between 9 and 12 minutes)
​
Advanced: 25 mins (inclusive of a programme with a minimum of three contrasted items lasting in total between 12 and 15 minutes)
This is the maximum duration of the exam (inclusive of the vocal exercises, breaks between items etc). Choirs may select a free-choice of repertoire, as long as it is comparable in standard to the repertoire lists in the syllabus.

Registration is only applicable for choirs participating in the 2020 Voices of Singapore Festival.

Participants of the ABRSM Examination may contact Voices of Singapore to rent the examination venue for rehearsals prior to the examination at a discounted rate, subject to availability.
